How Censys Collects and Acts on Product Feedback

Censys values customer feedback and continually improves its software products to meet your needs. This document explains how Censys gathers and incorporates your feedback into its product development process.

Why Censys wants your feedback

Your feedback helps Censys understand how you use our products and how the team can improve them. In addition to usage data, your feedback tells us the most important issues you face and how Censys can make your workflows more efficient, highlight the information and data you need in a more effective way, and address gaps in our features and functionality.

How to give Censys in-app product feedback

There are several ways to provide Censys with your feedback that are built in to the Platform web console.

Submit feedback via the Censys Feature Ideas portal

To access the portal, open the Help and Feedback menu and click Provide Feedback.

On the Feature Ideas portal, you can submit feedback, vote on ideas, review your previously-submitted feedback, and see the status of existing requests.

All feedback submitted via the portal is reviewed by the Censys product team and may be attached to existing ideas.

Provide feature-specific feedback

Some features, like reputation score, have a feedback link on the feature pane in the Platform console. Use this link to submit focussed feedback on specific functionality.

Respond to quarterly NPS surveys

Approximately once a quarter, you may see a prompt for an NPS survey when you access the Censys console. All NPS responses are reviewed by the Censys team.

How Censys uses your feedback

Feedback that you submit in the Platform console, through a meeting with your account representative, or by any other means may be reviewed and acted upon by our team. The Censys team will follow up with you if needed to retrieve additional context, use-cases, and clarity.

As the Censys product team identifies trends and needs, they will create ideas and associate feedback and votes with them. The Feature Ideas portal is the best place to stay up to date about feature request progress.
